hrmmmph.. Well, it seems that Apache2+PHP still isn't ready for primetime. There have been too many bizarre things happening with that combo here for too long.. so.. I've reverted back to good 'ol Apache version ONE. Heh. Interestingly enough I still can't get SSLMutexes to work as semaphores, but I did manager to get the SSLSessionCache to work as shared memory which is nice and quick.
